Two juvenile autolifters apprehended

Two alleged juvenile autolifters, who are accused of stealing 77 motorcycles with the help of other gang members, were apprehended from Vivek Vihar area during police patrolling.

According to police, the duo was yesterday seen roaming in a suspicious manner, with master keys. When confronted by policemen, they revealed that they used to operate in Dishad Garden, Shahdra, GTB Enclave, Vivek Vihar and other localities, looking for unattended motorcycles and would lift the vehicles after picking the locks.

According to DCP (East) Ajay Kumar the duo claimed to have stolen 77 motorcycles so far with the help of two miscreants, Azad and Imran, who are yet to be nabbed.
 

The gang used to take the stolen motorcycles to Meerut for disposal. They would parked the stolen vehicles near a Mall and buyers would be called for striking the deal with Azad, he added.
