Two pilgrims were killed and 24 others were injured after a truck in which they were travelling overturned near Raipur Sadat here, police said today.
The incident happened yesterday night when the truck loaded with 60 pilgrims were returning from Piran Kaliyar Sharif dargah in Uttarakhand, police said.
The driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle near Raipur Sadat district, following which the truck overturned, they said.
24-year-old Islam and his wife Sayin were killed on the spot. At least 24 people are injured in the accident and were rushed to the nearby hospital, police said.
