Two persons, including a child, were killed and seven others seriously injured when an ambulance rammed into their mud house breaching its walls here today.
The incident occurred when a private ambulance coming from Bhagalpur lost control and rammed into a mud house breaking its walls in the wee hours, killing two and injuring seven of a Mahadalit family, Superintendent of Police Barun Kumar Sinha said.
Jhunia Devi (22) and Phuphchan Manjhi (5) died on the spot. The injured were admitted to the Munger Sadar Hospital.
The ambulance driver fled from the spot, he said.
