Two killed as house roof collapses

A woman and her son died today when the tiled roof of their house, which got soaked due to incessant rain, collapsed at Sengipatti in this district.

Police said the 50-year-old woman and her son (28), who were farm workers, suffered serious injuries as the roof of the decades-old house caved in, in the early hours and crushed them.

A case has been registered.
