Two killed as truck hits car in Muzaffarnagar district

Two people were killed and four others injured when a speedy truck hit the car they were travelling in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, police said Tuesday.

The accident occurred on Budhana-Baraut road at Budhana town in the district on Monday evening when the occupants of the car were on their way to Ghaziabad, they said.

The deceased were identified as Babita (45) and Dharampal (50). The four injured have been shifted to a hospital, police said.

A case has been registered and the truck driver arrested, they said.
