Two persons, including a minor girl, were today killed when their motorbike was knocked down by a jeep near here.
Manoj Singh, hailing from the adjoining Gwalior district, was driving the motorcycle when a jeep coming from the opposite direction hit the two-wheeler on Agra-Mumbai road under Noorbad police station limits, police inspector Niranjan Upadhyay said.
Singh and his niece Sonam (11), who was riding pillion, died on the spot in the mishap, he said.
The duo was returning home from Manohar Nagar, where Singh's sister lives, when the accident occurred.
The police have seized the jeep and efforts are on to nab the driver who fled from the spot after the accident.
Further investigation was on, Upadhyay added.
