Two killed in highway mishap in Ramban

Two persons were today killed when their truck skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district.

The truck which was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Seri area of the district this morning, killing driver Daljeet Singh and cleaner Krishan Lal on the spot, a police officer said.

The bodies were retrieved from the gorge and shifted to a mortuary at the district hospital Ramban, he said, adding, a case has been registered in this regard.
