Two killed in Punjab's Moga

Two persons, including a 60-year-old watchman, were found allegedly murdered by some unidentified persons at Nathula Jadid village here, police said today.

The deceased have been identified as Sukhdev Singh, a watchman of village cooperative society, and his friend Darshan Singh (57), police said.

According to police, the assailants also took away the safe of the society with them.

At the time of the incident, both the victims were sleeping, they said, adding that while fleeing the assailants seriously injured another watchman of the office of Punjab State Power Board just near the cooperative society.

The injured watchman has been admitted to civil hospital here, police said.
 

Services of dog squad were also taken to trace the suspected killers, police said adding probe is underway.
