Two persons were killed and as many injured when the vehicle carrying them skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
The accident occurred near Garuddhar area in the district when a Tata pick-up vehicle carrying four persons skidded off the road, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Sujit Kumar said.
Two of the passengers, identified as Kuldeep Singh (18) and Ballu Nath (23), died on the spot, he said
The injured persons, including the driver Kuldeep Singh (28) besides Ajay Singh (18), have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu for treatment, the officer said.
