Two Maoists bunkers demolished in Giridih

Two bunkers of Maoists were today demolished as the encounter between security forces and rebels entered second day on the foothills of Parasnath hills in this district.

Two bunkers of the Maoists were destroyed and some arms recovered by the security forces, Superintendent of Police Akhilesh B Verier said.

Yesterday, the Maoists triggered some blasts and resorted to firing which was retaliated by the security personnel.

However, no casualties from either side was reported, the SP said.
