Two mild tremors hit Nepal

Two mild tremors measuring 4.3 and 4.1 on the Richter Scale rocked Nepal today with their epicentres located near Kathmandu, over four months after the deadly Gorkha earthquake that devastated the country.

While the 4.3-magnitude aftershock hit Dhading district located 75 km west of Kathmandu at 3:09 am, another measuring 4.1 on the Richter Scale hit Dolakha, 100 km east of Kathmandu at 8:26 am, according to the National Seismological Centre.

The centre has so far recorded 386 aftershocks of local magnitude 4.0 or above since the 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Gorkha district on April 25 that killed nearly 9,000 people.
