Two minor girls drown in reservoir

Two minor girls drowned today in a reservoir near here, police said.

Khushi Namdeo (12) and her cousin Sonali Namdeo (14) were bathing in the reservoir at Jaisingh Nagar on Shahdol- Rewa road near here but suddenly slipped deep inside it and drowned, district ASP D K Rathore said.

Their bodies were fished out and sent for postmortem. A case has been registered and further investigations are on, the officer said.
