Two minor sisters drown

Two minor sisters drowned today while bathing in a pond near Amrahtha village in Mahrajganj district, a senior administration official said today.

The deceased have been identified as Mariyam (6) and Sariyam (7), district magistrate S Agrawal said.

Later, with the help of the locals, the bodies were fished out from the water body, the DM added.
