Two NDFB(S) militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam's Kokrajhar district, police sources said today.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the police and army launched a search in Harinaguri village near the Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary under Kokrajhar police station late last night.
A group of militants opened fire at the security forces and an encounter followed in which two militants were killed, the sources said.
The security forces recovered two pistols, two grenades and some documents from the slain militants who were identified as Tepa Brahma and Arun Swargiary.
