Odisha Governor S C Jamir
today administered the oath of office and secrecy to two newly appointed State Information Commissioners.
Sashiprava Bindhani and LN Patnaik took the oath of the office at a simple function held at the Odisha Raj Bhavan here. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik, senior officers and some eminent personalities were present on the occasion.
Earlier, the state govenrment had recommended names of Bindhani and Patnaik to the Governor for appointment as information commissioners as the two posts remained vacant for a long time.
Meanwhile, the State government has issued notification inviting applications for the post of chief information commissioner, sources said.
