Two Rajdhani Express trains from here to New Delhi were delayed by over two hours today as the pantograph of the engine of one of them broke at Chandanpur station in the Howrah-Bardhaman Chord section of Eastern Railway.
The pantograph, an apparatus mounted on the roof of an electric engine to collect power from overhead wire, of 12313 Sealdah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express broke at Chandanpur station at 5.24 pm, Eastern Railway sources said here.
The 12301 Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express was travelling on the same route behind the Sealdah Rajdhani Express.As a result, both the trains were delayed by over two hours.

The trains resumed their journey after the fault was rectified at 7.43 pm, the sources said.
Several other trains, including EMU locals were also delayed.
