Two sentenced to life imprisonment for murder in UP

A court here has sentenced a man and his brother-in-law to life imprisonment for the murder of his brother in 2008.

Additional district sessions judge Abhimanyu also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them after holding them guilty under IPC sections 302 (punishment of murder) and 120-B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) last evening.

According to the prosecution lawyer, 22-year-old Sajid was murdered by his brother Wajid and brother-in-law Naeem with a sharp-edged weapon over some land dispute at Tawli village in the district.
