Two sentenced to life in trader's murder case

A court in Bihar's Patna district today sentenced two persons to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each after finding them guilty in the murder of a trader 13 years ago.
Additional session judge Krishna Pratap Singh passed the order convicting Suraj Kumar and Afsan Azim, alias Anjum, for the murder of Manoj Komalia, a trader, in Mangal Talab locality here on April 17, 2002.
According to prosecution, Komalia was shot dead by the convicts while he was returning home after playing badminton in a sports complex early in the morning.
The court, however, acquitted another accused Qaiser Javed for lack of evidence against him.
