Two men were today shot at allegedly by unidentified assailants, who wanted to rob a cash van in the Metro Vihar area of Rohini, but their attempt was thwarted by one of the victims, police said.
The van had stopped outside an ATM to replenish it with cash. While the cashier was inside, two men came there and allegedly fire at him and the security guard, they said.
However, the cashier downed the shutter of the ATM in order to save himself. The accused then fled, police said.
Police was trying to ascertain whether the accused were following the cash van from a distance.
