Two students drown in canal

Two class X students today drowned in a canal at Yanda Palli village, around 20 kms from here, police said.

Koppisetti Moses and Pampana Bhanu (both 15) had gone to the canal for swimming, when they slipped and drowned into it, an official attached to the U Kottapalli police station said.

The duo hailed from the Vakatippa village and their bodies were fished out, the officer said, adding a probe was on.
