Two students killed as car falls into gorge

Two students were killed and four others injured when their car fell into a gorge near Daat Kali Temple on the outskirts of the city, police said today.

The mishap occurred on Doon-Delhi Highway last evening when the six youths were on their way from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh to Dehradun, they said.

One of the youths who was driving the car lost control near the temple and the vehicle fell into a gorge after breaking the railing of a bridge.

Police rushed to the spot and rescued the six youths badly injured in the accident.

They were rushed to the Doon Hospital where two of them were declared brought dead by doctors.
 

The two deceased students have been identified as Vinay Kumar Saini and Pankaj Kumar, both aged 20.

Saini was a student of B.Tech and Kumar a student of polytechnic.
