Two suspected drug traffickers held in Noida

Two persons have been arrested here for suspected drug trafficking after two-and-a-half kg of was seized from them, police said today.

The two, identified as Pramod Yadav (25) and Raju Mani (28) were arrested yesterday from a CNG pump in Parthala area, under Phase 3 police station limits, they said.

While Yadav is a local, Mani hails from Odisha, but was settled in Ghaziabad for the last few years.

"A total of 2.5 kg of ganja was recovered from the two accused,"Phase 3 Amit Kumar Singh said.

The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said, adding they were presented in a local court which remanded them in judicial custody.
