Two swept away in Godavari river

Two persons, including a

15-year-old boy, swept away after they fell into Godavari river near Adhav farm on Nashik-Takli Road, police said today.

The incident occurred last evening when Akash Gaikwad (15), a class VIII student of a school near here, and Mukesh Hivrale (31), manager of school hostel, went to the river along with other students for an evening stroll, said Anil Pawar, Incharge of Adgaon police station.

He said the river was in spate due to rains, and the bodies of the duo are yet to be found.
