Two teenaged boys drown in lake

: Two teenaged boy students drowned in a nearby lake today while trying to immerse a 12 foot idol of Lord Ganesha with a group of people, police said.

They were part of a group of about 35 people who immersed the idol in the Malakaranour lake. The students slipped in and drowned.

Their bodies were later fished out, police said.
