Two TMC leaders gunned down

of Trinamool Congress were gunned down at a public place this morning in West Bengal's North Dinajpur district.

Police said the two - Mukunda Das (35), president of Raiganj block TMC Kisan Congress and Khirod Das (55), block vice-president of the party were gunned down on the main road of Padmapukur village.

Both bodies bore bullet injuries and a 9 mm pistol was recovered from the spot, the police said.

Investigations into the incident are on, the police added.
