Two trekkers missing in J-K

Two trekkers went missing after falling into a crevice at a health resort of Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir Friday, officials said.

A group of trekkers had gone to the Kolahai glacier at Pahalgam in south Kashmir district and on their way back, two of them fell into the crevice, the officials said.

They said junior scale Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) officer identified as Naveed Jeelani and Adil Shah of Alpine group went missing after the incident.

A third trekker identified as Hazik was injured, the officials said.

They said a rescue operation was launched and further details were awaited.
