Two industrial workers were roasted alive and another worker was injured in a devastating fire at a manufacturing unit in Bhiwandi today evening, fire brigade sources said.
Bhiwandi Station Fire Officer Rajesh Pawar said that the fire broke at about 5 pm at Wabla compound today evening after which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The fire was put out within a couple of hours but two workers aged around 19 were killed and their bodies were charred beyond recognition.

A postmortem would be conducted at the IGM Hospital at Bhiwandi, he said.
The cause of fire is still under investigation, the fire officer said.
There were ten workers in the factory at the time it caught fire, he said.
