Exactly two years have been completed today since Ashutosh Maharaj, the founder of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, had been declared "clinically dead" and put into a refrigerated room in Nurmahal town here, but his followers still wait for him to wake up and appear.

The matter had earlier reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court where a single-judge bench had ordered the Punjab government to conduct the last rites of Maharaj.

The order was later stayed and the next hearing is scheduled in February.

The Sansthan believes Maharaj is in a state of 'Samadhi' and he'll wake up and appear before his followers one day, its spokesperson Swami Vishalanand said.

Meanwhile, the followers have been visiting the Nurmahal 'Ashram' as usual.
