Two youth were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a sand-laden truck near Mahrajganj bazar under City Kotwali police station area here this morning.
Rakesh Misra (25) and Manoj (27) were on their way to the market when they were hit by the truck killing them on the spot, police said.
Infuriated over the accident, the locals staged a traffic jam for about an hour before SP, Arvind Sen somehow pacified them, police said.
The truck driver and cleaner fled the scene leaving the truck behind and efforts were on to nab them, they said.
