Two youths drowned in a pit in Medak district today, police said.
The mishap occurred when P.Laxman (17) was washing his buffalo in the water body, said Sudarshan, assistant sub-inspector of Hatnoora police station.
He said Laxman's friend Prashant rushed to his rescue but also drowned.
Meanwhile, villagers staged a dharna at the spot alleging that realtors dug the pit for mud, Sudarshan said.
