Ukraine's president signs amnesty bill

Ukraine's embattled president has signed a bill offering amnesty to protesters on condition that demonstrators leave government buildings they have occupied.
The opposition did not support that bill, accusing President Viktor Yanukovych of taking demonstrators as hostages. It insists that protesters must be freed without any conditions.
The law was aimed at defusing a two month-long political crisis, in which protesters have called for Yanukovych's ouster.
