Police today seized unaccounted money of Rs.20 lakhs from a youth in the city bus stand today.
A police patrol team noticed a youth, who alighted from a Karnataka state bus, moving in a suspicious manner.
During the search they found Rs.15 lakhs stashed in a bag and another Rs.Five lakhs hidden in the inner side of his dress, police said.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the youth, identified as Vikas, was a native of Rajasthan who claimed that he was carrying the amount collected from the sale of gold ornaments supplied in some places in Karnataka, they said.
The youth, along with the money, was handed over to the flying squad for further investigation.
