Gold bars weighing around 2.158 kg were today found inside a toilet of Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport here today.
According to officials, the gold worth around Rs 57 lakh, was noticed by the airport immigration staff in a toilet, wrapped in well packed packet.
In spite of repeated announcements made in the waiting hall, nobody turned up to claim the gold bars.
It appeared that some international passenger had smuggled the gold from foreign nation but could not succeed in taking it out from the airport due to tight security and left it in the toilet, officials said.
