An undertrial, accused of raping his minor niece, allegedly committed suicide in the district jail here this morning.
Dinesh Jatav (30) was found hanging in the jail premises at 9 AM today, said police.
Jatav was arrested for allegedly raping his 12-year-old niece and lodged in the prison since last 15-months, jailer of Morena jail BS Mourya said.
The court was scheduled to deliver the verdict in Jatav's case today but he allegedly committed suicide before the judgment.
"The court was scheduled to deliver the judgment in Jatav's case today. But, he hanged himself in the toilet using a piece of cloth (lungi)," the official added.
