Undertrial escape from hospital; 2 prison guards booked

An undertrial lodged in the district jail for a theft today escaped from hospital, where he was admitted on doctor's advice, after dodging two prison guards, police said.

Thothi Nat escaped from the district hospital in the wee hours this morning, jailor Deepankar Bharati said.

An FIR has been lodged against prison guards Madan Singh and Bihari Ram in this connection, Bharati said.

Nat was arrested in connection with theft case and was lodged in jail since September 9, he said.
