UP girl commits suicide after rape

A girl apparently hanged herself to death in a village in Kuwargaon area here, two days after she was allegedly raped by a man, police said today.

She was allegedly raped on April 9 and was apparently depressed over the incident. She ended her life last night, Superintendent of Police, Anil Kumar Yadav, said.

He said an FIR was registered against the accused and he has been arrested.
