UP: Man sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for killing his wife

A fast track court here sentenced a man to ten years imprisonment for killing his wife in 2006 over dowry dispute.

Judge Balraj Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on the accused Charan Singh after holding him guilty under Section 304-B (dowry death) of the IPC yesterday.

According to prosecution, the accused allegedly pushed his wife off the roof of their house, resulting in her death on November 24, 2006.
