Senior Uttar Pradesh Minister Ambika Chaudhary today blamed the Central government for shortage of fertilizer in the state.
Alleging that the Centre was not doing justice with the state, the Minister for Backward Class Welfare said "Uttar Prdesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has written several times to the Centre but there had not been any positive initiative from there side to resolve the issue".
"The state government on its part is doing whatever it can do to ensure that farmers do not face shortage of fertilizer at the time of sowing," he said, adding that the Centre has reduced its quota of fertiliser to the state.
