UP Sports Minister dead

Upadhyay (76), was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi after he had some respiratory problems. He passed away last night.

His body was brought to Samajwadi Party headquarters in Lucknow today where party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, PWD minister Shivpal Yadav and other senior leaders paid homage.

The cremation would take place at his native village Bhatparrani in Deoria.
