Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) faculty have been asked to compulsorily upload their profiles on the university's website.

"I have got circular issued to all departments informing that the Computer Information System (CIS) has put in a lot of efforts for establishing a web system for faculty profiles to be uploaded on the website.

"While majority of the faculty members have complied with it, many of them are yet to furnish required information despite repeated verbal or written requests," JNU Vice- Chancellor S K Sopory said in a circular.

It was during Sopory's tenure that the varsity had decided to go paperless and all inter-departmental communication is now conducted through the e-office system.

Sopory, who will demit office tomorrow, will be succeeded by Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Professor M Jagdeesh Kumar whose name was cleared last week by President Pranab Mukherjee, from a panel of four names that were forwarded to him by the ministry of human resource development.
