Prices of urad and gram fell up to Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market on sluggish demand from retailers against increased supplies.
Marketmen said besides sluggish demand from retailers, adequate stocks in the market mainly led to fall in urad and gram prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,150-5,650 and Rs 6,350-6,550, while urad dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by the same margin to Rs 6,600-7,200 and Rs 6,850-7,250 per quintal, respectively.
Gram and its dal local also declined by Rs 30 each to Rs 2,800-3,500 and Rs 3,550-3,750 per quintal, respectively.
