Urad and its dal prices firmed up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on emergence of stockists buying, driven by pick up in demand against tight supply.
Marketmen said stockists buying on the back of uptick in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad edged up to Rs 9,000-11,300 from previous level of Rs 8,800-11,100 per quintal.
Its dal chilka local, best quality and dhoya were also quoted higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 9,800-10,000, Rs 9,900-10,500 and Rs 10,300-10,700 per quintal, respectively.
