US 'friendly fire' kills eight Afghan police: officials

A US air raid has killed at least eight Afghan policemen in Afghanistan's volatile southern province of Uruzgan, local officials said today.
"The first airstrike killed one policeman. When other policemen came to help, they came under a second air strike, killing seven of them," Rahimullah Khan, Uruzgan highway police commander, told AFP about the raid, which occurred yesterday.
