US national dies after falling from roof in Gujarat

A 47-year-old US national died after falling from the roof of a duplex while playing with his pet dog late last night, police said.

George Georgy, who was staying at a duplex at Suncity Paradise complex in Manjalpur locality since last two months with his mother, died at a private hospital where he was rushed to after falling from the roof of the two-storey house, they said.

"George, a photographer by profession, was playing with his pet dog at around 3:30 AM last night when he accidentally fell off the roof. He succumbed to his injuries while being treated at a private hospital," an official attached to Manjalpur police station said.
 

His body was sent for postmortem at city civil hospital. A case of accidental death was registered and a probe is underway, said the official.
