A military delegation from the US Pacific Command (USPACOM) led by Admiral Samuel J Locklear will arrive here next week on an official visit to Nepal.

The 19-member group will arrive in Kathmandu on Monday for a four-day visit.

The US delegation is coming on the invitation of Nepal's army chief General Gaurav Shumsher Rana.

During the visit the USPACOM team will meet General Rana and other senior army officials.

The delegation will also observe the ongoing Higher Command and Management Training in Nagarkot besides visiting Birendra Peace Work Training Centre at Panchkhal and Army Institute at Nagarkot, according to a press release issued by Nepal Army.

Such high-level military visits would further strengthen and deepen military cooperation and bilateral relations between Nepal and the US, the army said in a statement.
