US places 33 Russians on CAATSA blacklist

The US State Department on Thursday placed 33 Russian individuals on its sanctions blacklist.

With this, the total number of such individuals have increased to 72.

The 33 individuals were blacklisted under the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) for being part of or operating for the Russian military or Russian intelligence, the State Department said.
