V Shanta calls on TN Guv

: Adyar Cancer Institute, Chairperson Dr V Shanta who was recently selected for the Padma Vibhushan Award called on Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah here today.

"The Governor congratulated her for being chosen for the prestigious award and wished her many more years of distinguished service in the treatment of cancer patients.", a Raj Bhavan release said here.

Shanta along with a host of others including Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth were selected for the Padma Vibhushan award by the Centre recently.
