Almost after two and half years,
residents of the temple city witnessed today witnessed the rare sight of Vaigai river passing through here in spate.
People from many parts of got down from their vehicles on Albert Victor bridge to see the river flowing bank-to-bank which was parched.
PWD officials said water released from the dam for irrigation had caused floods in the river. The river was carrying 4,000 cusecs of water.
