Van runs over 3-yr-old girl

A three-year-old girl child was killed today when a van ran her over in Sector-10 area here, police said.

Khushboo was following her father Shailendra on foot, when a speeding van ran her over, a police official said.

The child was immediately taken to a private hospital where she was declared brought dead, he said adding the driver of the vehicle fled the spot with the vehicle and is still not traceable.

The police have lodged an FIR against the unknown vehicle driver and started investigating the case, he said.
