An officer of Visva Bharati,
who was on suspension for around two years, was finally dismissed today following an investigation against him by the university authorities.
Sabujkali Sen, chairperson of the media interface committee of the University confirmed the dismissal of Nilanjan Banerjee, but did not disclose details of the investigation and its findings.
At the time of his suspension, Banerjee was a special officer at Rabindra Bhavan.
When contacted, Banerjee said, "I have heard about my dismissal, but not yet received any letter. I will consult with my lawyer after receiving the letter.
